As an Administrator of EOI Underwriting, you will perform and deliver on routine assignments for his/her assigned area(s) of Administrator responsibility independently in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. S/he will provide medical underwriter support and process underwriter requirement requests, generate correspondence, and maintain information in LFG systems.
:Delivers routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately
:Makes routine and non:routine decisions under close supervision, applying limited discretion within role except for matters of significance which affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures/guidelines.
:Performs task by applying core knowledge obtained from the role and acquires increasingly more knowledge in the role.
:Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
:Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards.
:Works overtime as needed.
:Processes requests for paramedical requirements, attending physician statements, and telephone interviews.
:Prepares applicant correspondence such as requirement letters, fee requests, lab results, withdraw notifications.
:Maintains and updates applicant information in LFG systems.
:Communicates with vendor and LFG associates to facilitate completion of requirements.
:Conducts scheduled follow:up with vendor for outstanding underwriting requirements.
:Prepares accounting entries for fee remittance and/or refund of fees.
:Monitors and distributes incoming route, faxes, and mail.
:Creates work for appeal requests.
:Provides secure handling of confidential information to protect company, operations and individual applicant privacy.
:High School or GED
:1 : 3 yrs of experience in data entry that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
:Educational experience and/or proficiency is the use of standard office equipment (telephone, P.C. copy, and fax machines)
:A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
:Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
:Drives performance targets to completion
