The Role
This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility. S/he will also act as a resource to applicable internal/external stakeholders. S/he will be responsible for the analysis and management of assigned more complex claims. S/he will review, investigate, and make claim determinations regarding coverage, compensability, and appropriateness of claims.
Responsibilities
:Analyzes and processes more complex claims by investigating, gathering and obtaining information to make claim determinations.
:Analyzes claimants coverage contracts to determine payment eligibility is met.
:Collaborates with appropriate internal stakeholders to determine claim eligibility.
:Conducts interviews with external stakeholders (e.g. physicians, claimants, and/or lawyers) on more complex claims.
:Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding more complex claim eligibility determinations to management.
:Makes more complex claim determinations.
:Negotiates settlement of more complex claims up to designated authority level and makes claims payments.
:Partners with junior team members on more complex claim reviews and determinations.
:Partners with Business Analysts to identify requirements in support of strategic projects
Education and Experience
:3 : 5+ Years experience in claims support that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Preferred)
:Reporting and analysis background and project management experience preferred
:Group Claims experience preferred
:4 Year/Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors) in Business or Finance (Minimum Required)
