Job Title: Manager, Human Resources, OMAHA
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Director, Human Resources : GSI, NA
Plan, manage and control the plant human resources strategies, programs and processes in alignment with GSI North America Human Resources business goals and objectives. Provide professional advice and consultation to plant leadership team in the daily execution and delivery of Human Resources deliverables. Consult and partner with plant leadership team in the areas of employee relations, recruiting, staffing, strategic workforce planning, performance management, leadership development, and employee communication.
HR Business Partner Job Responsibilities
:Interpret, advise, and counsel management and HR Generalist on the application of company policies, procedures, processes, employees issues and federal and state law.
:Partner with plant leadership in the development, delivery and administration of Human Resources professional services related to employee and labor relations, recruitment, strategic workforce planning, performance management, management and leadership development and employee communication.
:Partner with plant leadership in the development and implementation of short and long term strategic initiatives, designed to assure the highest levels of performance and productivity, as well as attainment of plant and GSI North America business goals.
:Partner with plant leadership in the development and implementation of Human Resources operational plans to deliver business unit initiatives, such as departmental reorganizations, staffing optimization, work practice improvements, etc., in support of plant goals and objectives.
:Advise management on appropriate administrative or disciplinary action.
EHS Job Responsibilities
The HR Business Partner is committed to developing, implementing, monitoring, and supporting safety and environmental programs and policies that will assist in achieving aa Best:In:Class status with regard to environmental, health and safety. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
:Manage compliance and OSHA's General Industry Standards and applicable EPA Federal and State regulations.
:Manage the safety and environmental process to prevent and eliminate incidents and illnesses at the facility.
:Participate and review incident investigations and prevention efforts in accordance with the GSI Incident Investigation Program.
:Act as an information resource to management by providing leadership for all aspects of the Environmental Health and Safety Program.
:Conduct and review safety evaluations of all areas of the facility for hazard prevention and control.
:Ensure all required reports are accurate and completed as necessary.
:Provide training and leadership for all associates, in accordance with applicable standards.
:Develop and coordinate positive safety and environmental awareness programs.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
HR certification preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
:Three to fiveyears of Human Resources experience with at least two years of progressive leadership experience : including EHS.
:Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, including knowledge of EEO, ADA and FMLA.
:Strong drive for results to lead and facilitate efforts to ensure human resources alignment with the plant.
:Proven management skills in coaching, performance management, and facilitating business competency.
:Demonstrated ability to work directly with leadership team to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change.
