Position Supervisor: Office Manager – Vice President of Operations

Job Summary: Is responsible for assisting the Office Manager in company operations by maintaining office systems, providing a high standard of customer service along with office duties. Works directly with Office Manager and Vice President of Operations.

Required Skills/Physical abilities:
- Demonstrated customer service skills including exceptional phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated efficiency in helping to develop organizational systems and business processes.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as necessary.
- Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions.
- Excellent typing, grammar, spelling and math skills
- Excellent open communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of employee, vendor and customer.
- Proficient in Microsoft/Libre Word, Excel and other Office programs

Responsibilities and Duties

Essential Functions:

- Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures controlling correspondence; filing systems; reviewing supply requisition; monitoring clerical functions
- Accepts incoming telephone calls, takes messages, and schedules customer and vendor pickups/deliveries
- Acts as a cashier by paying customers via check or cash
- Counts drawer and safe daily to account for cash on hand
- Calls in change orders
- Handles the timely payment of monthly bills and invoices
- Maintains office efficiency by implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
- Implements office policies by maintaining standards and procedures; adjusting to necessary standards..
- Is responsible to responding to training techniques, planning, coaching, monitoring and appraising job results
- Communicates with staff, vendors and customers.

Other Job Functions/expectations:
- Keeps management informed of any arising employee or customer issues.
- Participates as a team member.
- Demonstrates positive attitude toward Scrap Central customers, staff and company.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Helps to create spreadsheets and demonstrates creative solutions in areas needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational/Experience Requirements:

Valid Nebraska Driver’s License.
High School Diploma or GED
