Job Description We are an Omaha based, high-tech finance company looking to add to our growing team. This primary responsibility of this position is to work with our end users to develop, modify and maintain application systems and be able to create permanent and ad hoc reports based on end user requirements. In this role, you must have the ability to take converted code, learn our business and database and help train other staff. Salary range up to $80k + excellent benefits. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience 5 years+ experience in IT required Understanding of software development lifecycle Minimum 5 years coding experience using the following: C#.NET and MVC. Experience with Bootstrap or Angular, a plus Minimum 3 years Sybase or SQL Server experience required Knowledge of Windows operating system Ability to learn new reporting tools and their coding language Ability to learn aspects of the business, particularly as it pertains to key data reporting elements, and as it relates to supported automated systems Ability to learn new programming languages and their development frameworks Familiar with Microsoft Office tolls such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Ability to analyze complex problems and identify appropriate solutions Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple projects and with customers and team members Ability to effectively function as a team player Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Financial industry knowledge a plus Job Duties/Tasks: This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following: 1. Work with users to gather and develop requirements and translate them into specifications for development 2. Design, code, unit test, debug and document reusable source code that will retrieve/maintain data in our system 3. Write optimized SQL queries using indexes, and other important database objects like tables, views, functions, constraints and keys 4. Write, debug and maintain SQL stored procedures 5. Ability to develop testing scenarios and write code, queries or automated scripts so users can evaluate data and sign-off on deployed projects 6. Work with implementation teams to ensure smooth deployments for technical solutions 7. Serve as subject matter expert (SME) on at least one enterprise solutions 8. Maintain multiple versions of code via source control tools 9. Work with lifecycle tracking software and document development, testing and resolution of issues 10. Work with users to understand and resolve support issues 11. Reviews code, queries and scripts for performance or support issues and makes fixes as necessary 12. Develop and maintain functional, technical and end user documentation 13.
