UI Designer Omaha, NE RESPONSIBILITIES Solicits input from the Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, and UI Designer to assist with designing the most effective user interface design Articulates compelling design mock ups, prototypes, and wireframes to be used to confirm intuitiveness and usability Critically review, analyze, synthesize, compare, and interpret information collected from user experience research from stakeholders, end users, and external data to make recommendations to UI and functional design Document and catalog all design iterations of UI artifacts, exhibits, mockups, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to product lines/customers Ensure that design principles and decisions, features, and user flows that are adhered to throughout the product's lifecycle Assist Product Team with complex UI test validation and acceptance specific to UI design, excludes functionality testing Assist Product Owner and Business Analyst with producing end user training and marketing communications regarding product Partners with User Experience designer to represent the voice of the end user ensuring intuitive design, end user adoption and engagement with solutions Deliver user centered design training and education to KTG enterprise and advocates for UX/UI team vision and practices Partners with architects and developers to convey UI Design in a way that translates into technical solution options QUALIFICATIONS Education, training certifications, and/or proven experience in designing and implementing User Interfaces and/or Visual Design for websites and/or software applications utilizing user centered design focus/methodologies User Interface Design, Graphic Arts, Graphic Design education or equivalent experience in technology related field Experience in the engineering and construction industry, and/or equivalent domain experience relevant to the product a plus Demonstrated practice of User Centered Design (UCD) Demonstrated knowledge of facilitating UCD Design Labs/Workshops Demonstrated knowledge of UI deliverables (mock ups, wireframes, low and high resolution prototypes) Experience conducting or collaborating with UX designer on UX related activities (usability testing, contextual/stakeholder interviews, etc.) Experience with MS Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS), basic HTML, CSS, ABAP and Javascript preferred Experience with agile and waterfall software development practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to synthesize and articulate complex designs targeted at multiple audiences EEO EmployerApex is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
