POSITION SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to lead and manage staff development process using available resources to ensure facility staff are competent, qualified, and function within legal, regulatory and company business objectives. KEY JOB FUNCTION:Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating facility staffing practices.Support facility interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and termination practices.Facilitate facility compliance with pre:employment screening activities as required.Provide quality orientation for all new staff in accordance with regulatory and company standards.Maintain all personnel files as required by law, regulations, and company policies and procedures.Proactively identify and act on opportunities to improve quality of care and regulatory compliance; Effectively participate regularly in QMP assessment and planning meetings or activities.2:3 years of clinical experience in long:term care preferred.Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practicing Nurse (LVN / LPN) in working State.Must have or obtain DSD certification as required per State regulations.Must possess at a minimum, a high school diploma. Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing training practices.Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in a understandable manner.Associates Degree preferred.
