Summary: The individual will be charged with managing the automation product platforms which serve OEM customers. They will be responsible for the product plans and execution throughout the product lifecycle including: gathering and prioritizing market requirements; executing a formal product creation and delivery schedule, and working closely with engineering, marketing and support to achieve objectives. Utilizing past engineering experience the individual will find and implement cost savings measures across each of the automation platforms. As the OEM automation PM, the individual will be the point of contact for many different OEM customers and should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Occasional travel is required for managing OEM relationships and attending key trade shows. Primary Responsibilities: Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activitiesCoordinate the product development cycle with the R and D team. This may include helping to determine the product features, functionality, interface design, and compatibility with other productsContribute to the knowledge based product development process through the writing of knowledge briefs and closing of knowledge gapsGenerate market reports from information gained through OEM partnership to distribute to the rest of the PM group. Occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Noise level is usually quiet. Occasionally lifting 10:25 pounds, seldom lifting 50+ pounds
