The main purpose of the Project Manager position is to assist customers in the engineering process from the beginning phases to implementation. The position involves strategic planning, focusing on the development, implementation, and cost efficiency of the production process.

Essential Functions Statements
Manage projects for Graepel North America from the customer inquiry to the series production including quoting, cost calculation, APQP process, engineering, developing prototypes, tooling, production, PPAP, and process improvement.
Utilize the project management guidelines and processes incorporated by Graepel North America
Develop and improve the project management structure of Graepel North America
Provide technical support to customers and maintain a consistent line of communication to them
Visit new and existing customers in coordination with other Graepel staff to explore product opportunities and business leads.
Communicate project developments with all applicable levels at Graepel North America, Graepel Seehausen, and Graepel Loeningen.
Provide frequent feedback and reports about latest business activities to all applicable Graepel associates
Perform liaison function between Engineering and all manufacturing operations for any related concerns, problems, or improvements.
Interact with production personnel to define and solve
manufacturing/design issues and implement cost reduction ideas regarding GNA products
Ability to work schedule determined by supervisory management.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel
Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited university in Engineering
A minimum of 1:2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, fabrication management and/or operations of low and mid size volume metal fabrication in a certified manufacturing organization (ISO9000 or higher)
One to two years of practical hands:on experience in metal fabrication preferably the operational and functional aspects of welding and metal forming with press brakes and hydraulic presses
Ability to establish relationships with customers and familiarity with pricing strategies and negotiation tactics
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Computer Skills:
Experience using MS Office Suite, CAD programs, and Business Management Software
